es Mr. Sou thorn's despatch No.230 of the

25th of April, on the subject of the

employment locally of soldiers whose

terms of service expire while abroad, and

to transmit to you a copy of a letter

from the War Office, reporting that

approval has been given for the most of

the repatriation of such soldiers to be

met from Army funds in the event of their

becoming unemployed within a period of

five years from the date of their

discharge or transfer to the Army Reserve.
